Frederick MD Wedding Photographer — Maryland · Virginia · DMV Photographs you’ll still feel in twenty years
That was 7:41 on a Saturday in Annapolis — and every wedding has a photograph like it.
This is how it gets made — one day, stitched from all of my Saturdays.
The house wakes slowly
Coffee in the sunroom. Good shoes on too early. Nobody rushes a morning like this — the day already knows where it’s going.
One page, many Saturdays — docks in Annapolis, farms in Loudoun, overlooks on the Blue Ridge — laid out in the order every wedding day unfolds.
Everyone arrives at once
Hugs in the driveway. A backyard becomes a venue, a farm becomes a chapel, a boardwalk becomes an aisle. Different Saturday, same hour — this part is always the same, and most portfolios skip it.
Then the whole day holds its breath
Four ceremonies, four different Saturdays — each one a single take. No reshoots, no second chances. That’s why I stay close, and ready.
The light shows up right on time
And then — this
The photograph you met at the top of the page. It wasn’t staged at 2 PM with a flash — it happened at 7:41, because we were still out on the dock waiting for it. Every wedding I shoot has a frame like this. We just have to stay out late enough to catch yours.
Anyone can show you their best twenty photographs.
I publish whole weddings — every chapter, in order, nothing skipped.

The fine print
The approach
Each wedding is a single take. No reshoots, no second chances — which is why I stay present, prepared, and close to the moment. Direction when you want it, quiet observation when the moment is already happening: the precision of editorial portraiture with the patience of documentary.
A portfolio is a highlight reel — every photographer’s best twenty frames, chosen carefully. It tells you almost nothing about what lands in your gallery at 9pm on a Saturday. So I publish entire weddings instead: every chapter, in order, nothing skipped. Judge the quiet moments as well as the loud ones in the full galleries.
